MSC Opas

1 Dec

MSC Opas brings “world-class entertainment to the Brazos Valley.” Opas is an organization at A&M that focuses on bringing broadway shows, musicals, and performers to Rudder Theater. Some of the past performaces include Yo-Yo Ma, Van Cliburn, Itzhak Perlman, Les Miserables, Rent and the world premiere of the Bolshoi Ballet Grigorovich Ballet. I went two years ago to see Cirque Du Soleil and it was amazing!

This year’s line-up consisted of The Manhatten Transfer, Burn the Floor, An Irish Christmas with Ronan Tynan. Left on the list for this year is Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Monty Python’s Spamalot, The Color Purple, and Mamma Mia!.

In fact, Beauty and the Beast will be coming December 11 & 12. Each day will have a 2:00 showing and there will be a 7:00 showing on Saturday. Tickets range from $36-$74, with a discount for students. Students can get even more discounted tickets if they wait to the day of the show. But, you may end up not having tickets at all, if you wait.
